Hela: of Mice & Magic Guide

Hela remedies: how they work

Updated · Remedies

Quick answer

In Hela, Remedies are special tools you unlock through brewing. They are not just healing potions: each remedy gives you another way to interact with the environment, opening routes and puzzle solutions. Three names are confirmed by achievements — Matchmaker, Recollector and Tailwind — and all three can power up a zipline. Their full effects and other remedies are not published yet.

Remedies vs. normal brews

Type Purpose Confirmed examples
Creature / community brew Help an NPC or creature Not named yet
Ability brew Improve the mouse’s own movement or stamina Stamina upgrade (Whoosh!)
Remedy A tool that changes environmental interaction Matchmaker, Recollector, Tailwind

The three confirmed remedies

All three achievements use the same verb — “power up a zipline” — which suggests remedies can be used on the same type of world object in different ways, or that different ziplines require different remedies. The exact rule is not published.

Treat any pre-release “all remedies” list as unverified until the recipe book is readable in the launch build.

FAQ

What is a Remedy in Hela?

A special tool created by brewing. Remedies change how you interact with the world — opening new paths, moving objects, or solving environmental puzzles.

How many remedies are there?

Not announced. Three are named in achievements: Matchmaker, Recollector and Tailwind. There are likely more, but do not trust a full list until the game is out.

Do remedies replace normal potions?

No. Brewing produces creature/community brews and ability upgrades as well as Remedies. Remedies are the tool-like category.
